Champagne Collard-Picard
Founded in 1996, Champagne Collard-Picard (Récoltant-Manipulant – a grower who makes champagne from their own grapes) was born of the union of Olivier COLLARD and Caroline PICARD, each from Champagne winegrowing families settled since the late 19th century in Villers-sous-Châtillon (Collard) and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger (Picard).

Two families, one signature
Since 1889, the vine has set the rhythm of life for the COLLARD and PICARD families. On the Collard side, rooted in the Marne Valley, Olivier's grandfather René COLLARD became a pioneer of the Meunier grape and passed his passion to his son Daniel, then to Olivier. In the heart of the Côte des Blancs, Caroline's father Dominique PICARD tends his Grand Cru Chardonnay with the same rigour.
The estate
The quintessence of terroirs
From this lineage and this union, a singular philosophy was born in 1996: combining the power and roundness of the Marne Valley Pinots with the finesse and purity of Côte des Blancs Chardonnays. Today's 16-hectare vineyard, in 52 plots, is farmed with respect for soil and plant and measured yields, and is HVE 3 (High Environmental Value) certified.
The vineyard
The drive of a new generation
Since the 2024 harvest, their son Alexandre, a graduate of the OIV Master in Wine Management, has joined them. Full of ideas, together they constantly renew and experiment in vineyard and cellar to cultivate a rare quality that reflects terroir and time.

The cellar
After pressing, the juice flows by gravity from a latest-generation, refrigerated Coquard press. The best juices are fermented with indigenous yeasts in large oak foudres – and since the 2024 harvest also in clay amphorae – and malolactic fermentation is deliberately avoided for freshness, precision and longevity. Long-ageing cuvées rest under cork; dosages stay restrained: Extra Brut or Brut Nature.
